Imonelli Restaurant in Lafayette

A comfortable fine-dining restaurant, with good food and good value. The menu is a bit large, and when we were there they had a lot of off-menu specials which made ordering a bit harder, but was a nice experience and we will gladly return.

Loved this resturant my whole life. My family has celebrated several birthdays, Etc here. Food is always good. Wine is great and the staff is AMAZING.

The meal was excellent! Great appetizers and fish dishes. Waiter was excellent as well.

Lunch on Tuesday, May 1st. Delicious soft-shell crab. Love Imonelli Salad too! Only complaint it was very dark in the restaurant and we had to open the blinds a wee bit. Going back again for Mother’s Day.

Food was excellent, waiter, josh, was fantastic, atmosphere was wonderful , the service was at a slow pace so you could enjoy each course before another came. I wouldn't change a thing except I wish I could take them home with us. We are from mandeville la. We will visit again on next trip- wonderful experience.

Wow, hidden gem. Older restaurant but very intimate with great food and waitstaff.

Excellent dishes the chefs sauces like with crab cakes and stuffed mushrooms make you want to lick the plate. You will not be disappointed.

I Monelli catered my daughter’s wedding at Rip Van Winkle Gardens in 2015. I had never left a review. As I came across the restaurant on google, I wanted to take the time to express how pleased I was with their outstanding service. The tasting was such an enjoyable experience and still a fond memory. The food and service the day of the event was incredible. Everyone was very professional and efficient. The food was delicious and guest made numerous comments on how great it was. I look forward to enjoying supper at the restaurant next time I find myself in Lafayette!

One of my favorite places to eat in Lafayette and one of the best places for a nice cozy dinner. Lights are always dim, great food, decent wine selection, and good wait staff. Also for some reason it seems to be a place that people forget about. Im not sure why, but it never seems to be overly crowded.

Our server, Maddie, was sharp, happy and menu educated. Appetizers, entrees, desert and drinks were perfect, exciting, and delicious. Ambiance is nice and feels effortless. Can’t recommend enough for incredible value in Italian Acadiana cuisine.

Ossabucco was outstanding as always

Recently stopped by for lunch for the first time in a long time. Had a fantastic and Spinach Tasso Soup and Oyster Spaghetti. A really pleasant up scale restaurant atmosphere done and Lafayette is fortunate to have this establishment. Highly recommended!

Awesome food! Quiet atmosphere

Very elegant and convenient spot. They provide big portions and for economical rates. We liked the meals very much and the waiters were super friendly and chatty. Will definitely recommend this restaurant.

Small and intimate, quiet, very nice inside, food was AMAZING, and prices are really reasonable compared to other places in the area with this level of food!!

We ate at iMonelli last night. I really wanted to like it, and I went in excited to be there, but we didn’t even get a menu until we had been there nearly 20 minutes. We’d been there 30 minutes when we finally got to put in our food order. My husband’s salad never arrived. After we had ordered, our food came out quickly, and it was yummy, but after we finished our meal, we sat there about 15 minutes just waiting for a check. Our drinks were never refilled during the entire duration of our meal, either. It was honestly confusing how poor our service was, after reading all the reviews raving about the good service at the restaurant, but I doubt seriously that we will go back to try it again.

Wine list is ok, thank baby jeeeesus they have Quintessa and Cain 5, the filet with jumbo lump is rather righteous...pretty cozy atmosphere. They do have wine glasses with the logo, pretty gangster. I got one that I floss on the reg.

Great depiction of how amazing this place was!! We had the veal and the stuffed filet and we were really impressed with both. I cut through my steak easily with a fork and the sauce it was in was tremendously good. Wow we will be back in no time to try the next item on the list. Don’t let the stupid parking lot and run down building fool you. There is greatness inside!!

I dined at Imonelli's for the first time Sat. night. (8/19/17) at around 8:30; it was not crowded at the time. Given that this eatery may appear to be upscale with the type of services rendered by the staff and the prices, the menu items listed are common food items for a Louisiana-style Italian restaurant. In other words, you will be able to understand the menu and choose without a problem. Even if you do have questions, the waiting staff are very friendly.The crabmeat and artichoke appetizer was very delicious. The bread that is served is definitely worth every carb. 👍I ordered the Stuffed Filet: WOW!!!!!! I have never tasted a filet or ribeye that well-prepared at any critically-acclaimed "steakhouse," but you can find it at Imonelli's!This is now one of my favorite restaurants in Lafayette.

The food was great and I recommend getting the Cranberry Pineapple drink. The portion of the food size is astounding for the prices. I highly suggest you visit this restaurant.
